Veilig Thuis is een organisatie waar veel pleegouders vaak indirect mee te maken hebben. Veilig Thuis is het advies- en meldpunt huiselijk geweld en kindermishandeling. Als er zorgen zijn om de veiligheid van kinderen, kan dat gemeld worden bij Veilig Thuis en zij doen onderzoek of schakelen andere hulpverleners in. Als gevolg daarvan kunnen kinderen in pleeggezinnen belanden.
Op maandagavond 31 oktober komt Annette Velders van Veilig Thuis naar De Huiskamer om te vertellen over deze organisatie en haar werkwijze.
